For My Mom, on Mother's Day

My Mother taught me to think,

To solve a problem and sew,

She taught me how to adjust a pattern

And specific techniques to know.

My Mother taught me to be resourceful,

And repurpose things I see,

Without my Mother to guide and inspire,

I, well, just wouldn’t be ME!
